Thanks for the Thanksgiving wine advice. I appreciate your comments on my blog. Working at the Getty must have been exciting. I'm glad you enjoyed my Abstract Futurist paintings.

Cheers,

@Jack I love Martin's wines and I have tasted the 98 Bressan. I think it's ready to drink right now. Not for everyone but it was great.

@Alfonso Squinzano is an obscure one! Great TG choice.

@Rob thanks for stopping by. I have a feeling that our palates are nearly 99% aligned! Bucci is so great. I've tasted back to 1988 (which I tasted 2 years ago) and the wines are consistently fantastic.

@Linda thanks again for everything and especially for the (too) kind words! :-)

@Jen can't wait for the next time! :-)

@Tracie B your ragù is sooooooo good... I can still remember dreaming about your ragù when I only knew your voice through email and your blog... it was so worth the wait! ;-)

Jeremy-were our palates separated at birth? You already know how I feel about Gresy and Selvapiana but Bucci is an all time fave too.
Alfonso-Li Veli's Passamante has around 50% Negroamaro from the Squinzano doc if that helps(the other 50% comes from Salice)

Okay, Austin, you've got a serious wine expert in your midst! As the Executive Director of SAHELI, I could not thank Jeremy enough for his work on our benefit. Everyone I talked to had a great time and most folks were estactic of the wines that were presented. Jeremy took great care in pairing the wines with the menu I presented to him. Not only did he perfom this task with such care, but he magically pulled it together in a very short amount of time. We could not have pulled the event off witout his help on the menu and providing his wine expertise at the event!

Looking at your Italian inventory, I'd go with:
2005 Hofstätter Gewürztraminer Kolbenhof - I found a previous vintage was wonderful with turkey.

Also, the 1998 Bressan Pignol, if it's not too young. But I bet it is. Have you tasted it?
